Ever heard of what most people call a 'God moment'? Ever experienced one yourself? It's truly amazing isn't it? Those little moments when God plans out everything perfectly. Those little lessons we tend to overlook in our daily lives. It makes you think when those moments *do* happen, doesn't it? Allow me to share with you a little 'God moment' I had myself...
Today came a moment I've dreaded for 6 years...seeing a friend I had a very hard heart towards. I had no idea if I could ever forgive him. I had such a dislike for him all these years. But after seeing him, God found a way, some way, to soften my heart towards him. To not have such a dislike for him. It made me think how you think 'I could never forgive this person' and God finds a way. He found a way to forgive him, when I didn't think I could. 'That' was truly a miracle. So on forth with my story, at youth group a little later on, during prayer, others didn't know my reasoning for thanking God for forgiving us so that we can forgive others, but I did, I knew what God did for me. It had nothing to do with anything we've ever discussed but it's such a gift to be able to forgive others as God did for us. At the end of youth group, we played a game of kickball. We were having a few problems as the game went on and someone got hurt, but afterwards, discussed what happened and forgave each other. See how that worked? God showed himself in three different occasions all having to do with forgiveness. Isn't that amazing?
That night at youth group, we didn't have a sit-down lesson where the leader stands in front and preaches. We got to learn by watching. To learn by seeing how God shows himself in the different parts of our lives. It's amazing how he shows himself when you least expect it. And though sometimes it's hard to see him, you have those moments when you see how he works and you are just left speechless at how perfectly it was planned out.
Each person has someone that really 'gets their goat' or 'drives them crazy' or they 'just can't stand'. I challenge you all. That the one person they can't stand the most? Show them love, as God did for us. Let's admit it, we all do wrong. We sin against God. But God shows us forgiveness despite everything we've done against him. And he 'forgives' us. He has a tremendous love for us. Let's show it among others, shall we?
