I've Found the Church for Me

I just have a small update here quick...

I've found a church that seems to fit me very well spiritually, and I'm very much looking forward to digging more into the church and getting more involved. One of these activities is their youth group. I'm not often very outgoing, and this is a step outside my comfort zone, but I really wanna get involved. So just a small prayer request there, if you have the time. I'd really appreciate it! Thanks guys :)

Looky Looky!

Here's a blog I just found recently and I personally think it's awesome! It's more of a girl blog, but guys are more than welcome to check it out as well if they so desire! (And I'd make a little ad on the side for the blog, but I kinda forgot how so...look a link!)

When to Dive into God's Word

While looking through a favorite website of mine, they asked a question; "When do you like to dive into God's Word?" And when answering that question, to see how differently everybody likes to dive in is cool! Some people like to read before bed, while others like to dive in during their day! I personally like to read my devotions right before bed, so nothing is begging my attention and I can give my complete attention to God. But now I wanna ask, When do YOU like to dive into God's word? Before bed when you've wound down and can focus better? During a tough situation, when you need God's guidance to make the best decision? Bright and early, when you've just waken up, to start your day off right? Which suits best for you? :)

It's the Little Things in Life...

I dunno how many people have had experiences like this. But, ever read a devotion the night before and see the exact devotion in action the next day? It's really cool when it happens!

Just last night, I was reading my devotion on how we sometimes feel so insignificant in life. And sometimes wonder "How could God care for one little person like me among the millions of people that live on this earth?" He shows us all the little things in this world that are small, but beautiful. Like the stars in the sky. They seem pretty tiny, huh? But every little star, is handcrafted by God. And each one, is beautiful when we sit back and look at them. Well, the next day, while still thinking about this devotion, I saw a flock of birds flying together among the autumn trees while on my way today. But, it wasn't just the "There and gone" ordinary flock of birds. The flock almost reminded you of a swarm of...bees. Ducking up and down, swarming about the trees. It was out of the ordinary, different, and absolutely beautiful. It's not every day you see things like that, and it's nice when you sit back and take a look at everything and admire it's beauty. The details, the texture, the immense amount of color. God thought of it all! And all these things are small, but when they're all put together, it makes a gorgeous picture of what God creates and who he is.

I love when lessons you've learned are shown to you right before your very eyes! It's really cool I think. Can any of you remember a time when something like this has happened to you?

A Small Tip for a Happy Relationship

I found this on Facebook and thought I'd share here as well. (And this is for guys and girls alike!) But as you and her/him learn and grow in your walk of faith with God, you grow towards each other. And makes for a fantastic relationship!

A Real Gentleman

Most times, guys are thanking some girls for how they dress modestly and try to help them. But how often do we thank the guys that treat girls like human beings and not objects? For being careful and trying to help us in our walk with God? I don't know about you but I don't hear them being thanked a whole lot. So might I say, thank you to the guys who know how to treat a girl, that control their thoughts and actions for God and their sisters in Christ. Because these days, those kind of people are becoming harder to find. And it's a real gift when you have someone like them for a friend.

THANK YOU

Give it to God

Ever wanna just make decisions for yourself even though you know you should give God control? I know I can have problems like that myself. You wanna ask God "Why is this happening to me?" Well, let me give you a little story of mine...

Through this week, I've been debating with myself on how to give myself completely over to God. How to leave everything in 'His' hands and let his will be done. But I couldn't understand just how I could let someone else take care of my life and let him take control. So a struggle for me has been giving 'All' of it over to him. Not just 'some' of it. Well, as the week went on. A friend shared a verse with me

Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I found this verse very interesting. But God wasn't done. This Sunday, Before youth group, my cousin, my sister and I were discussing on this very subject. And yet again, this very verse was brought up in conversation. Now I was quite intrigued with this verse because it kept popping up wherever I went. Well, after that off we went to youth group. And as we started our lesson, yet again, this very verse was brought up AGAIN. Now I was asking God "Okay God, what are you trying to tell me?" Then it hit me. I thought back on the events of this week, and they all matched together. Just like a puzzle. He planned them out so perfectly. And yet again, he never fails to amaze me...

So, next time you just wanna go "God, why is this happening? Why did you let this happen?" Keep in mind, God has a plan, you just gotta trust him and give it all to him. When a door closes, it's God's way of saying "I have something better..."
